It's hard to cope with our 'modern civilisation'. Our senses are permanently overloaded with noise, advertisement, news and hectic. To find new energy, we need a refuge. Not only in the real world, but also in our fantasy. The music opens the gate to your own fantastic world. This world is not meant to completely dissapear into it and lock the doors, but to regain lost energy in it and to (re-)discover the important things and the beauty of the world. Then you can get back to design the 'real' world.
After the tape Images From Distant Lands had been well received in public, I decided to do a CD-project. Produced completely by myself "Refuge In Fantasy" was released 1994 on the label of the musician Lambert Ringlage from Essen: Spheric Music. The CD contains 12 tracks from the years 1991 to 1993.

In Tolkien's fantasy world "Palantír" is translated as "what glances at the very distant" and is the name for an ancient crystal ball that can be used to look at distant places and for telepathic communication with remote persons. For me music can also have this ability.
